Background of Program

The Foundation in Science is designed to provide students with the fundamentals in the science field and thus enable students to pursue a bachelor degree program at University College of MAIWP International (UCMI). The course designed is to provide students with extensive and integrated teaching covering areas of science and also emphasize vocational and life skills. Foundation in Science is a 1 year program before entering into Bachelor levels.

To produce competent graduates who have strong fundamental knowledge and experiences before further their studies in related courses.
PEO 2
To generate competent graduates who is able to develop proficiency in English and practice communication skills effectively and ethically in various contexts of society.

To produce highly motivated students which are good in problem solving and decision making by integrating the knowledge and technical practices.
PEO 4
To produce students who are geared towards technology and research by utilizing ICT to explore business opportunities through lifelong learning in the science-related industry.

Admission Requirements

The minimum entry requirement is five (5) credits (Grade C) in SPM, including Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. However, the required subjects vary depending on the course you choose after finishing the study.

Medicine and Dentistry

Pass in SPM/ O-Level with:

  1. Grade B in Biology
  2. Grade B in Physics
  3. Grade B in Chemistry
  4. Grade B in Mathematics/Add Mathematics
  5. Grade B in 1 any other subject


Leading to:

MBBS (UiTM), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (UiTM) and other local and international universities


Pharmacy
