The PhD in Science at University College MAIWP International (UCMI) is a fully research-based programme designed to produce independent, innovative, and ethical scientists equipped with holistic knowledge and advanced research skills. In alignment with UCMI’ vision to be a world-class institution promoting holistic education and the Faculty’s goal to be a centre of excellence in health sciences, this programme aims to contribute meaningfully to the scientific community locally and globally.
This programme addresses the national demand for skilled researchers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to support Malaysia’s aspiration of becoming a high-income, knowledge-driven nation. With a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research, critical thinking, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills, our PhD candidates are nurtured to generate impactful scientific contributions in areas such as health sciences, biology, and biochemistry.
