At the Department of Pharmacy Practice & Clinical Pharmacy, we are dedicated to shaping the next generation of pharmacy professionals—assistant pharmacists, pharmacists, and pharmaceutical technologists—who are equipped to enhance patient care through optimized medication therapy. Our mission blends education, hands-on practice, and research to prepare students for impactful careers in healthcare and the pharmaceutical field.

We proudly support a range of programs at the Faculty of Pharmacy (FOP), including the Diploma in Pharmacy (DPC), Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Technology (Honous) (BPT), and the newly launched Bachelor in Pharmacy (Honours) (BPC). Our courses are designed to provide a strong foundation in pharmacy practice and clinical pharmacy, blending up-to-date knowledge with practical skills. Through engaging methods like problem-based learning, case studies, assignments, presentations, and real-world training, we ensure our students are ready to excel in hospital pharmacies, community settings, and the pharmaceutical industry.

Our passionate and qualified staff will guide students through essential topics such as hospital and community pharmacy practice, pharmacy management, pharmacokinetics, and clinical skills for patient counselling. We also introduce advanced subjects like Entrepreneurship, pharmaceutical marketing, Pharmacoeconomics, and pharmacy informatics to broaden their perspectives and skills.

The Faculty of Pharmacy (FOP) is proud to have successfully launched our postgraduate programmes in Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Pharmacy, offering both Master’s and PhD degrees by research.

Complementing our strong commitment to excellence in teaching, our academic staff are actively engaged in impactful research, with ongoing initiatives to further expand our contributions to pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare innovation.
