Background of Program

Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Technology (Honours) program has been approved by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in scientific disciplines. The program emphasizes technical and pharmaceutical applications, including the manufacturing of medicines, creams, tablets, and other health-related products, as well as halal manufacturing, cosmetics, health products, and supplements.

The program’s goal is to produce skilled technologists in the pharmaceutical field, contributing to the advancement of the pharmaceutical industry and its related sectors. It also offers diverse career opportunities in areas such as drug discovery and development, quality control standards assessment, and the marketing of pharmaceutical products.

The curriculum is crafted by UCMI instructors with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring practical and relevant knowledge. Key courses offered in the program include pharmacology, pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical medical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical engineering, pharmaceutical biotechnology, physical pharmacy, and drug delivery systems.

Additionally, graduates of the Diploma in Pharmacy program are eligible for credit exemptions of up to one semester, based on their qualifications, providing them with an accelerated pathway to complete the Bachelor’s degree.

LULUS Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)/ Matrikulasi/ A-Level/ Pre-Universiti/ Asasi dengan minimum gred C (PNG 2.33) dalam mana-mana dua (2) mata pelajaran atau kelayakan yang setara dengannya;
DAN
KREDIT di dalam tiga (3) mata pelajaran berikut di peringkat Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM):
- Matematik; DAN
- satu (1) mata pelajaran Sains; DAN
- satu (1) mana-mana mata pelajaran. ATAU
1. Diploma (Tahap 4 KKM) di dalam bidang berkaitan dengan minimum PNGK 2.50;
